From Santana to Segovia, music can not be described in words, only in sound. I love all kinds of music. It scares me sometimes that any skillfully played or sung, meaningful piece, in any genre is great. Does that imply schizophrenia or just spent too much time in the '60s!

If you please, give me some buzz on what music you find as great. I have always been partial to jazz. I grew up on Brubeck and Paul Desmond, Getz, and other mellow sounds. I always liked a good trombone quartet. One piece called Rosetta, way back in the '50s was super. Stan Kenton died too early for me. The new stuff is also great. "Lights-out Jazz" as they say in San Diego is fun. I also have always loved folk music - yes, it's true! Trios and quartets of voices threading wonderful and sorrowful stories providing humans with humanity. Troubadours have always announced the coming of the new ages and pointed out the salient facts of our lives, since the dawn of time. Now, the Classics - yes I do like many many, but very specifically. The Brandenburg Concertos, Dvorak, Beethoven, Tchaikowsky, Ravel, Bartok, Bizet, Copland... One of my all time favorites is Joaquin Rodrigo's Concerto de Aranjuez. I also like the garage band rock 'n roll. American "in-your-face" music that has a force to be reaconed with. It helped bring down the Russians - right? How can you not like ZZ Top. The blues is always there as the basis of so much good sound. Let me know what blows your kilt up.
